APA Cancels 2021 Annual Meeting/Info Fair

Given continued uncertainty around the safety and feasibility of holding a large event, COVID-19 variants, North America vaccination rates and members’ comfort levels around travel, APA made the difficult decision to cancel the in-person component of this fall’s 2021 Annual Meeting and Info Fair. Knowing that we are all eager to gather again, it was a hard call to make, but safety is our priority.

In the meantime, staff will continue to serve our APA and EWTA members using video conferences and the other online tools we have incorporated to stay connected. We appreciate your support and patience as we work through this second challenging year together.
Your health and the well-being of our communities remain our top priority while maintaining member services. We look forward to a time when we can gather again for face-to-face meetings.

EWTA Advisory Committee Meets, Forms Nominating Subcommittee

The Engineered Wood Technology Association (EWTA) Advisory Committee met April 28, 2021, through video conference. Sixteen members joined APA staff to hear updates on membership, finances, communications, research projects and Info Fair activities after one full year of EWTA’s integration under APA management.

A subcommittee is being formed to review committee guidelines and representation. Their recommendations will be presented to the advisory committee at the autumn meeting. If you are interested in being part of this subcommittee, contact LaDauna Wilson.
