EWTA Advisory Committee Meets

The EWTA Advisory Committee met Oct. 1 through video conference, led by Chair Chris Degnan. New members Kyle Galligan, representing Hunt, Guillot & Associates, and Brian Delbrueck, representing Lonza, joined the panel to replace previous representatives from their respective companies.

The committee finalized the association’s 2022 budget, which includes $10,000 funding for a formaldehyde study project. The budget was forwarded and approved at the Oct. 19 APA Board of Trustees meeting.

The 2022 spring EWTA Advisory Committee meeting will be held in conjunction with PELICE (Panel & Engineered Lumber International Conference & Expo) in March 2022 in Atlanta, Georgia.


Register Now for Virtual APA 2021 General Session

The APA General Session Business Meeting is scheduled for Dec. 1, from 11 a.m. to noon PST. The meeting will include the "State of the Industry" and "State of the Association" addresses by APA Chair Roy O. Martin III and APA President Mark Tibbetts. An invitation was sent to EWTA members.

LSI Rebrands as Arxada

LSI recently announced that it has rebranded as Arxada. The new name follows the company’s launch as an independent business in July 2021 after the completion of the sale of Lonza Specialty Ingredients from Lonza Group. The re-brand reflects the company’s passion for delivery of high performance and realizing potential, both for its customer and within its own operations. ► www.arxada.com

USNR and Wood Fiber Group Merge

EWTA member USNR recently merged with Wood Fiber Group, creating a single company. Capabilities include delivery of complete solutions from project conception to building/installing processing lines, in addition to supplying the spare parts, technical services, ancillary equipment and custom-engineered cutting tools.

JAX Inc. Expands Sales Team

Don Mattran has joined JAX Inc. as its new Vice President of Sales. Mattran comes from an industrial sales background and brings 15 years of leadership in research and engineering, performance operations, commercial sales and application development.  ► www.JAX.com

IMEAS Announces Management Change for North America

Bryan Wolowiecki recently joined IMEAS Inc. as President, replacing Nathan Rutherford who is retiring after 14 years of service. Bryan is a veteran of the building products industry with 28 years in machinery sales and support.  ► www.imeas.net.
